Cyberbullying
The article I read was, Cyber-Bullying: Taking on the Tormentors. In this article I read about this girl who was 12 years old and jumped to her death because she was bullied. The two tormentors who were 14 years old were both charged with aggravated stalking. Cyber bulling is bullying over the internet or using technology to do harm to someone else, by constantly harassing and or threatening them. For example, someone sending a person a mean or embarrassing text message. Also which could be sent through email or spread by maybe false rumors. A solution to this problem is the person decides to do something about the issue by defending themselves.

I read the same article and found it to be shocking that the girl who was being tormented was so young. Kids now start using social media at a younger and younger age and aren't fully aware of the repercussion of their actions yet. It is so sad that has to happen to anyone.
ReplyDeleteI read an article similar to yours also about a girl killing herself because of bullying. I think that this is happening often to kids/teenagers these days since they're on the internet at such a young age without knowing much of the consequences...
